RIGHT BRIDGE FOR FAMILY PROMOTION


Right Bridge for Family Promotion is a non-governmental organization working on child protection, women empowerment and participation with aim of to improve the social welfare of the child/ youth, women and family in Rwanda. The Right Bridge for Family Promotion is Rwandan non-profit organization which privately focuses on the promotion of rights, protection and participation of the children/youth whereby those are roots of better future of the country.

A society where women and children thrive in safe, peaceful, and empowered families, free from gender-based violence and discrimination.

 

MISSION
To promote family well-being by empowering women, protecting children, and fostering reconciliation in communities through capacity building, advocacy, and sustainable development initiatives.

 

OBJECTIVES
- Empower Women: Enhance women’s economic and social empowerment by providing skills, resources, and opportunities for self-reliance.
- Protect Children: Advocate for and implement child protection programs to prevent abuse, exploitation, and neglect.
- Promote Family Reconciliation: Train couples and families in conflict resolution, communication, and positive parenting to build stronger, peaceful households.
- Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence: Offer training, psychosocial support, and legal aid to GBV survivors while engaging men and boys in promoting gender equality.
- Raise Awareness on Family Rights and Gender Equality: Educate communities on laws and policies related to women’s rights, child protection, and family stability

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Training & Capacity Building: Provide workshops on women’s empowerment, parenting skills, and conflict resolution.
- Economic Empowerment: Support women with vocational training, financial literacy, and access to microfinance opportunities.
- Child Protection Programs: Establish safe spaces, promote children’s rights awareness, and support vulnerable children.
- Family Mediation & Counseling: Facilitate reconciliation sessions for couples and families in conflict.
- GBV Prevention & Response: Conduct awareness campaigns, provide psychosocial support, and facilitate legal aid for survivors.
- Community Sensitization: Organize outreach programs to promote positive gender roles and family values
