PROJECT NAME: “Fighting teenage pregnancies and rehabilitation of teen mothers (victims)

The Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, the latter acting through the agency of Ms. Inga Klünder-Preuß, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany at Kigali, is funding Family Care for Children (FCC Rwanda) represented by Mr. Jean Marie Vianney GAKWAYA, the project Manager of Family Care for Children as "the project executing agency", have agreed to implement the following activities:
1. Establish a pilot listening point system in 2 sectors of district where teenagers can come/call to seek support and guidance.
2. Conduct a Training of Trainers (ToT) for members of National Children Council and National Youth Council at the sector level on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)
3. Conduct monthly radio talk shows on community radios on issues affecting teenagers such as teenage pregnancies
4. Conduct a sensitization campaign in 5 secondary schools targeting teenage boys on abstinence till marriage and change of sexual behavior at school and in their communities. 5. Rehabilitate teen mothers by following them up in their communities, teaching them a skill that can help them to live a dignified life that can provide trainings to teen mothers
6. Conduct a sensitization campaign to encourage parents to have conversations with their children on Sexual and Reproductive Health and creating a bond where parents are the first point reference when children need advice.
